Uncle Hadley Music has song on new Chris Jones CD!

Showin’ My Roots receives enthusiastic reception from radio

Donna Ulisse’s Showin’ My Roots is already being received well at radio. It maintained the #1 slot on the Airplay Direct Bluegrass/Folk chart for radio digital downloads for the whole month of October with over 900 downloads by radio.

It also was #9 in the FolkDJ charts which is compiled from actual playlists of 129 DJs worldwide who report their playlists to the chart. It is also currently #10 in the EuroAmericana chart which is compiled from airplay by DJs in Europe playing Americana, bluegrass and roots music.

SiriusXM’s Bluegrass Junction continues to add songs off the album into rotation.

No Depression chooses to feature Ulisse video

No Depression website (formerly the roots/Americana trade magazine) recently chose Ulisse’s video performance of “Her Heart is A Stone Hard Ground” as one of their featured videos. Donna co-wrote the song with Marc Rossi and Irish singer songwriter Ben Glover.

Natasha Borzilova plays Music City Roots!

Late in July of 2011 Natasha Borzilova made her first appearance on Music City Roots which is a weekly, two-hour radio show that revives the historic legacy of live musical radio production in Nashville. Broadcast on Wednesday nights from 7pm to 9pm, CST, Music City Roots, Live From The Loveless Cafe showcases Nashville’s astonishing music scene, from country and Americana to more progressive interpreters of tradition — a “roots and branches” format that brings together fans of different tastes and generations. Presented live from the stage of the Loveless Barn, this show showcases purveyors of authenticity across many genres.

The show was called their “Girl Power” night as there were many female singer songwriters on the lineup including Tara Nevins with The Heartbeats
Frontier Ruckus, Lera Lynn, Angela Easterling & The Beguilers and .Amanda Shires
